Grief Support
Grief Support Services
The death of an infant is a heartbreaking and life-altering event. Whether the loss occurs through a newborn death, SUID (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death), sleep-related causes, or an accident, families are often left devastated, in shock, and completely unprepared.

At Infant Loss Resources, we understand that every loss is a shattered dream, and no family should face it alone.
Mission
The Infant Loss Family Support Program is dedicated to supporting parents, siblings, extended family members, friends, childcare providers, co-workers, and professionals as they navigate the grief that follows the sudden death of an infant, from birth through 12 months of age.
We serve families across St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and surrounding Missouri regions with trauma-informed, compassionate care.

Why Safe Sleep Matters
Members of the Missouri Safe Sleep Coalition play a vital role in preventing sleep-related deaths by educating caregivers on safe sleep practices. As trusted health, social service, and community professionals, we have a responsibility to share accurate, consistent, and life-saving information.
We encourage all partners to promote the ABCs of Safe Sleep:
-
Alone – Place baby to sleep alone, not in bed with others
-
Back – Always place baby on their back to sleep
-
Crib – Use a safety-approved crib with a firm mattress and no loose bedding
